Tangent Thread - P&R Edition

Because October is before the election.

Haha interesting point.  My main point is that players like Justin Fields and those who are yearning to win a national title will still be bummed to miss out on the CFP.  Now perhaps if its just a matter of a couple weeks the CFP would alter their dates, but I am hopeful this all works out, especially for the players and student athletes.

I have major issues with how President Trump and Commissioner Warren have handled pretty much everything with the virus. There was a lot of sitting on their asses and not a lot of action.

That being said I'm encouraged they could get together and actually work towards something. This is what we've needed in this country/conference from the start. Secure testing, put protocols into place, for gods sake make a plan. Not sit and hope it goes away. Not act like it has gone away. Not lockdown and do nothing until it goes away.

Couldn't agree more. Let's figure out the testing and get these boys playing football!

This is a very smart move.
Not a Trump fan, but this is a smart political move by him.

1)  If the Big Ten reverses course on the football season in the fall, Trump can take credit and gain a lot of supporters in swing states of Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania (even in Nebraska) where the 2nd District is still up for grabs)

2)   If the Big Ten President's don't change their mind, Trump can blame "the liberal university presidents" for not giving these states their football.

Yep, this is a win win for him.

Don't forget the Dark Forces. Benefit of being graded on a 2nd Grade curve.
