Tangent Thread - P&R Edition

Whomever would have said that is struggling with their sexuality themselves it appears.  Sorry but no matter the drought I'm not going to be interested in the same sex.  It just couldn't happen.
Nah, couldn’t ever happen….she most likely wasn’t in a drought but the outcome was the same as an example I gave,.  Keep in mind that also said it’s a small minority of the population we are talking about.   And notice the source….the one everyone here loves.

Take, for example, Cynthia Nixon of Sex and The City fame. In a 2012 interview with New York Times Magazine, the actress casually mentioned that homosexuality was, for her, a choice. “I understand that for many people it’s not, but for me it’s a choice, and you don’t get to define my gayness for me.”

You don't have to justify it to me.  I'm good with whatever you decide to do.  Live and let live.

Your link includes absolutely zero references to someone choosing to be gay because they failed in heterosexual pursuits.

No, chief. It's the direct correlation to your first statement.  How can it not be?

You seem to think that if you avoid certain words, people can't connect the dots.

You're wrong.
Sorry chief.  It’s not, it’s just your BS as noted earlier.   Just cause you make up BS and post it doesn’t mean people can’t figure out it’s still BS.

Fair enough. I anxiously await your attempt to explain why someone who couldn't find a heterosexual partner would find it easier to find a homosexual partner, why the homosexual would overlook whatever the heterosexual didn't find desirable, and how you can flip your gender preference as needed.

Again, not making this stuff up, chief. Just responding directly to the words you chose in the post I cited.

Sure thing chief…I have two real examples and bigresbuster has given a third that slightly relates (could find a partner but no longer feels safe in doing so)

One rather large female acquaintance tried dating men and found that the ones she was attracted to were not attracted to her and a few men that did  want to date, she felt no attraction and were kinda gross in her estimation (unkept was her polite version).   In the process she became pretty friendly with another mildly overweight female who was lesbian.  In that friendship over time they began dating and have been together for 4+ years.   Her partner knows she never dated women before and knows she never had a previous attraction to females and knows her issues with trying to date men.

My daughter has a friend from college (both no long Dr in college) who lives a semi goth type lifestyle (mainly the dress and hair/makeup) but Hangs out mostly with a different crowd than the typical goth crowd though.   Her frustration is that men have only briefly dated her and they quickly break things off and she feels constantly used.   She doesn’t consider herself gay, however, She met a female and wanted to experiment because of her lack of hetero relationships lasting.   She met someone that she clicks with and really likes her and a relationship has developed.  but she feels conflicted in that her partner assumes she is lesbian.

These can’t be the only two cases in the entire world.   And you need to keep in mind my original statement of saying these are the minority of instances before you conflate things to where they aren’t chief.

Saw those on dozens of pumps, several months before the Russia/UKR war.  I'm surprised it's just now being noticed more nationally. I don't care for it, it's a small sticker; I'd rather not see it.  I don't think any fuel was looted.

I don't get you.  I point out inflation prices everywhere have never affected fuel station hotdog prices, costing the consumer the same price as before the pandemic begun. Thought it would make people think.  And of course you mock it and make a joke.

It seems a little sticker on a gas pump brings this kind of speech out of you. Damn

Why you backstep and act like a victim? You visit the forum regularly. Throwing punches at repubs and making jokes at us. Go check one of the "mean bad right voter ppl" topics or economy threads. Pretty sure I brought up how some prices haven't been affected by the Putin inflation. And I guarantee you saw it. If you didn't and this is coincidence, my bad. But I doubt it.

Uh, ok Walter.  If that's how you feel. Let's move along.

This guy's high as a kite every time he posts, right? Like a full chef's salad of the devil's lettuce.

What's crazier? That everyday ordinary folks defend billionaires?

Or that everyday ordinary folks don't get that they're going to get shat on by those same billionaires because - being everyday ordinary folks - those billionaires don't care about them in the slightest, and they have (apparently?) zero clue how they're just useful idiots to those billionaires?

The belief that Elon Musk truly cares about owning the libs is just so amazing. Elon Musk cares about Elon Musk, Elon Musk's money, and Elon Musk's fame. His fanboys just don't matter to him. At all.
