Tape Trading Thread

If you haven't seen it already, take a look at THIS THREAD.

I hate to be a hardass, but there's no way that this could be legal. I'm assuming the tapes would either be comercially-available or would have been taped off a TV broadcast. In both cases, those will be copyright protected.

Even if someone went to the game and taped it with a hand-held camcorder, it is debatable whether that is legal. I would guess that the tickets have some disclaimer against such a practice.

My two cents - we need to make it clear that members can contact other members off the board and do what they will, but that trading tapes using the board as the means is not permitted.

I see Franks point, but I don't know if it is a huge deal. I guess it would be the head cheese's choice.

 
Hmmmm...let's see. If I report the activitiy (since no one else probably will), it will almost surely result in federal criminal charges. Since Nebraska and Arkansas are in the same federal Circuit Court, the Admins of the board can come to me for representation, and I can charge them a bundle...

Uh, guys - never mind. On second thought the tape trading may be a good idea...

Well, crap - if we're going to be serious for a moment...the more I think about it the more I'm inclined to let it go and let someone b!^@h to us first. Odds are they won't even know, and if they do they'll say something first.

And if some one does b!^@h - well, I don't mind the fees, either!

 
Ahhh WTF, throw it on my tab. Thats why I get up every morning anyway, to put strippers through college and pay attorneys bar tabs.
