For what it's worth, apparently Coach Brahmer was really impressed with Rhule.

Just too new, too late.

WR Brahmer is going with what he knows.  Can't blame him.

That’s the effect of losing Mickey + 2.5 months of not having a HC with Matt C. In your ear

That’s ok. He is likely not an immediate impact guy. Should something happen with Campbell at ISU, maybe we can get him back a couple years from now.

I hope this means Stogner or another TE is coming.

And what’s Fidone’s status? How is his injury recovery coming?

This is one I really didn't think we'd have to worry about being an in-state kid but this doesn't sound great for the home team.

Benjamin Brahmer – Committed to Nebraska on 4/2/21

“I don’t know coach Rhule personally so once I get a chance to speak with him I will know more. I probably won’t take another visit (to Nebraska).”

Brian Ferentz stopped by to recruit him. Apparently it didn't go well. Conversation played about 20 minutes before dad to him thanks but no thanks.

But apparently is really looking at Iowa State. New staff will really have work to do. And supposedly he and Joseph aren't that close.

We just can't have nice things!

Rumblings back home that he is leaning towards Iowa State.  Apparently really likes Campbell,  but is open to listening to next Husker coach.

Heard Coach Brahmer is retiring after the championship game also.
Hadn't heard that.  I know Tyler Legate is doing a great job with the kids, It wouldn't surprise me to see Brahmer pass the torch to someone he's comfortable with.

But Brahmer is too young to be retiring from his Principal job.

I heard it was just from coaching, not all together.  Sounds like he wants to spend more time going and watching his kids play now that Ben is off to play college sports like his sisters.

Was at Iowa State yesterday.

Rhule and Satterfield at school and visited dad today then in-home after basketball practice.  Dad seemed to be impressed.  Said they wanted to have options in case the new staff wasn't interested or wasn't a fit.

Considering making a visit to Lincoln if they can fit it in around basketball.
