To which school will Loftin commit?

Anytime you miss on in-state talent it will hurt you. We won 5 games. We have no magical passes on taking anyone who is good. 2/3 of the last TEs we took are either going to turn into OTs or be blocking TEs. Loftin is a mismatch…hence why someone like FSU would come all the way up to Omaha.
Missing in-state kids is tough, but the staff has signed plenty from the state and region already so it's not like the high schools are abandoning the program like what's happening in Colorado. Also, huge difference from the Calibraska movement or Frost's Florida infatuation. We signed 3-4 at the position last fall and already have at least one in this class, with likely one other making the position switch in the future.

Though I think Loftin has some talent, we're fairly well stock at the position currently so this isn't a huge miss at this stage. We're at the prove it stage with a lot of players at this point. Though peer recruiting is important and all, I think we would all agree that we'd much rather win on the field than on paper. Once we start winning consistently, I expect that the recruitment results will follow accordingly.

Almost halftime and Florida State doesn’t even have a first down yet. I hope he’s reconsidering.
