Well that sucks. Seems like odd timing, doing right after he got back from the spring game. He must have really loved his trip to Blacksburg.

 
Just because I was curious, I went back a few years and looked at how many recruits VT gets from west of the Mississippi, since we never really seem to be up against them too often. From 2012-2015, they signed 0 kids from west of the Mississippi. In 2016, they signed 1 (Juco QB from Texas).

So Keene is the obvious outlier from their normal recruiting footprint, which I am sure is due to his father's relationship with the VT staff.

Yeah I wouldn't expect VT to have sustained success in that aspect.

And VT has an entirely new staff, so their recruiting footprint is likely to change.
