Not going to say this doesn't hurt. Losing what most consider to be the best player in Nebraska, who plays in a position of need for NU, is a big loss. Hopefully, the coaches can turn it around.

 
Not a loss in my opinion. With Synder and Stoll, it's probably better to open up the scholarship. Fant and Stille would be higher on the in-state board based on need.

While it's unfortunate he is choosing to leave the state (most likely), I would rather lose a couple of in-state guys and get all the guys we seem to be getting on the West Coast who want to get away from CA and explore other parts of the country.

I also appreciate that he made this decision now rather than in December or January. We already have one great TE recruit this year, and also have Matt Snyder coming this fall, plus our existing players. I don't think this is a position where we are too weak.

 
For the same reasons some California and Texas kids leave their home state to come to Lincoln (a change of culture or change of pace), Jb decided his future is probably with ASU. It's your life and you can do what you want kid.

 
Many High School kids look to the entire experience when looking for options

All kids are different

I wouldnt want to go to college in the same town as I grew up in

Spread your wings, go to another area of the country and grow up some

I went over 1000 miles away to school, one of best decisions I made
