***The 2022 Offensive Line***

Effective and respectable is the expectation. Physicality, a nasty attitude and disciplined play. Give the quarterbacks adequate time and open holes for the backs. Continuous improvement.

I feel like these are some pretty solid coaches for Big Ten football.  I would probably shuffle the deck a bit, but overall, they aren't bad coaches across the board.  I would put HCSF closer to 9 or 10.  PJ Fleck deserves to be 8 (at least) no matter how quirky he is.

Pelini was a j@ckwagon and proved he learned nothing from his firing here as he did exactly the same things at Youngstown State costing his team wins and throwing tantrums so bad the refs asked for a police escort out of the stadium. But he and his staff were excellent at finding guys who were way better than their star rankings, elite juco players and they left Riley a plethora of talent. Riley and his staff however did none of those things. By the time Riley and his guys were ousted they had gone from a roster full of talent that needed a good GameDay coach (remarkably Riley and co was actually worse than the guys they replaced at that too.) And by the time they were gone they had left behind the least talented, least developed and least mentally and physically prepared roster Nebraska has seen since WW2.

Frost messed up a lot of things and was way too loyal to guys that were much better friends than football coaches, players who he had no idea about and guys that could make the same mistakes over and over again with no consequences.  But with the exception of the first class which didn't really get going until after new years, he has improved the talent and work ethic of the roster incredibly well. He has made all the right moves in the off season to fix the issues that were plaguing this team, if he gets back to the role that he went undefeated with , letting his coaches do their jobs and just stays in the ceo role, then he will win a lot of games because he hired the right assistants that can handle the rest just fine. If not he will be looking for a new job in the off-season. But let's not be insane and prop up a massively  awful and wrong narrative that Frost inherited anything but a tire fire. Expecially at QB

I agree Fleck should be higher with his proven successful seasons no matter how quirky he is. But HCSF at #14 is exactly where he deserves to be with his proven failures to this point, especially considering the vast amount of support and resources he has at DONU.

I am a supporter, optimistic as they get, but this is correct.  Nobody has underachieved in the win column quite like Frost has.  Hopefully that turns around significantly this season.

I think HCSF is better than 14.  That's the bottom of the big ten.

But then, for 7 years all I ever heard is that Riley was the worst ever.  And that he contributed immensely for 3 years of the failures with Frost.   :dunno

Isn't that something.

Fortunately, I really do like this year's team.  It doesn't absolve the 4 years before tho.

I think Frost is better than 14th too. But, at this point, there isn’t much evidence for someone outside the fan base to rank him higher.

I think he’s going to have a good enough year to keep his job and will be ranked higher in coming years.

It’s time to prove he’s higher than that. Wouldn’t it be nice if he went from this to coach of the year?

Absolutely.  I see this team winning quite a bit and playing for the West title (or in the hunt for it).
