The 2024 Election —What did we learn?

Are you of the assumption the Liberal justices aren’t partisan?

Played dirty as in followed the rules set forth?

Played dirty as in obstructed and acted as if a president shouldn't be able to appoint a justice on the way out and then pushed one through for Trump at the end of his presidency. No one is 100% partisan. The justices all have specific ways that they are going to vote on key issues and are selected as such. In some cases like Clarence Thomas they are picked because they will rule based on how much you pay them.

Idk if Republicans necessarily "played dirty" there, though I understand the sentiment behind the remarks.

I don't think anybody was truly surprised that Republicans whined and nearly self-immolated themselves at the idea of Obama appointing another justice in 2016, but then ram-rodded Amy Coney Barrett through in 2020. Principles on “fair play” almost always shift depending on who is benefitting, just like in football.

Ok so you are upset that an unprecedented number of people have been trying to come to America and it wasn't solved by the person not running in the time that you wanted to and when they did try to solve it was blocked by the other person but that's ok because that's politics. I'll take Dems trying to do the thing a lot of people have been asking for a long time in go down and solve the problem before it gets here over someone who wants to spend insane amounts of money and violate civil liberties deporting that many millions of people. Oh wait maybe he will finish the wall this time and it still won't work because only an idiot thinks a wall along the border is the solution.

Dems could definitely work on both their messaging and solution to immigration but it's crazy to assume the person who calls legal immigrants illegal and claims they are eating dogs and cats is the man to fix it.
No. I am suggesting the Biden administration didn't want to solve it until it became a painful campaign issue, because it wasn't a priority. It should have been, because it's one reason they lost. Not to mention Biden didn't do Kamal any favors making her the border czar in 2022.

It doesn't actually mean that at all. While people who support left political ideology tend to vote Dem more than GOP, voting for a Dem isn't at all the same as being "left". Very conservative people can vote for Harris and vice versa.
You are correct that I associate the left with Democrats. There are moderate Democrats, but both parties are too beholding to their extremes.

I certainly agree that McConnell played loose with the rules and I would have been complaining had a Liberal justice like Sotomayor or the other two been appointed if Schumer did the same thing.   But they are the rules and thank Harry Reid for it.

I'm not sure how much of it affected actual votes. Would need to see some info on that. It def was a big propaganda push to make things seem worse than it was by Nazis and right wing grifters.

And in case anyone has any misconceptions otherwise, Republicans also don't want to solve immigration as an issue.

They just want a sweeping deportation force and to restrict it as much as possible. If you don't understand their reasons for doing so, look up the Great Replacement Theory.  That's what the architects behind the GOP immigration agenda believe in. See Elon talking about it on Rogan, where Joe of course accepts it as fact without any critical thought.

I think that's a problem with a lot of this stuff and that sentiment that, well it's within the laws, is that it's not a game. Too many people in this country have picked a party and just follow blindly whatever their dear leader tells them. Like abortion for example wouldn't be an issue in America if some preachers didn't decide they wanted to keep black people out of their schools and needed a distraction.

What???

Abortion is ONLY an issue because men think they should be involved with it, period.

If you have a dong and you think you have ANYTHING to do with what a woman can do with her body, you must also 100% agree to letting women decide when/if you get snipped and/or can get the blue pill.

Period...end of story.

Just to put a bow on this post, Republicans gained almost 1/2 the Hispanic total vote and won with Hispanic males.   That group seems to be buying into the immigration message 🤔

I definitely agree that men still thinking they should control women's bodies is an issue and it should not be the case, but it absolutely was originally a manufactured issue to combat desegregation in America. Seeing the amount of men saying "your body my choice" though you definitely have point.
