The 2024 Election —What did we learn?

So the immigrants told people not to get vaccinated. That's a new one. I guess it's better than eating dogs and cats and geese.
Immigrants weren’t vaccinated and passed to other immigrants not vaccinated and probably a few citizens not vaccinated.   Google can be your friend…It’s new only so far as new illegals coming in.

But cats and geese give you nice diversion.

Hmm it's almost like that's what vaccines are for and going around promoting people stop taking them after a false claim that 2 kids died from them is dangerous. Funny how it doesn't matter that it came from immigrants but they are the classic clever diversion for the right.

Haha well that's all definitely true. It's almost like having insane family money means you play with a different set of rules than everyone else.

JFK for all his faults had charisma and empathy and vision.  RFK just seems to want to make wild claims about stuff he is clearly out of his depth on. As we have seen already it's dangerous to have him making medical decisions for other people.
JFK was definitely charismatic… As far as empathy well him and his brother double teaming, Marilyn Monroe and a bunch of other hookers while being married with kids… Maybe not so empathetic!!  With that said I don’t care about his sex life and I’m actually kind of jealous of it!!!  Haha

Because the author writes articles means the author is an expert on whatever he wrote about?!?!  🙄

Jim Cramer has a freaking TV show on investing and people make fortune investing inverse Cramer.   Just as an example.

Yesterday a story re-emerged about the Duke Lacross case and the lady finally admitting she lied.   The author of The Rolling Stones articles on the subject years back was damn sure the author was correct in those “incorrect” articles.  Just as an example.

CNN had soooooo many “experts” on in regards to the 2017-2018 Russia/trump story claiming all these salacious details that ended up not being correct, wrote website articles for CNN that weren’t correct and ended up being confirmed as not correct by internet sleuths who ended up knowing more then those “expert” authors.   Just as an example.

When authors focus on specific subjects for a period of time doing extensive research, like his SAT research, an author can be considered an expert in the subject.  But one must also accept that an expert isn’t beyond reproach or being wrong.  I don’t see how Nick is an expert though on politics elections or the economy based on his prior writings.

Can't wait to read the articles you mentioned about the Biden economy, presumably from the trustworthy sources that forged your opinion.

The author in question does a lot of research before writing his articles, and interviews people who are experts and/or influential to decision making. If you'll notice, Nicolas Leeman is reporting other people's opinions, including people who don't agree with each other. It was an interesting piece because it went into detail about Biden's economic plans, something that was supposedly important to voters but almost never discussed in the campaigns. Nicolas Leeman never says you aren't free to debate the claims and merits. The piece is largely about the failure of Democrats, the partisan bedfellows underlying Biden's long term economic strategy, and decisions the incoming administration will have to make. Wherever the piece cites facts, they are indeed, facts. Of all the news sources likely to get caught with their pants down, the New Yorker is probably last on the list.

Or, you know, you could declare it a partisan propaganda before ever reading it, do some half-assed missing-the-point cherry-picking to refute it, and walk away less smart.

We literally go see doctors that have years of schooling and the best grades possible and when they tell you something...one of two things happen.

Either you say you are going to get a second opinion or they tell you to get a second opinion.

But here we have just a guy that writes for a newspaper (I think that is where that story was from) so he is the expert and no one else knows anything.

I better go reread that Shatel article from when Frost was hired and how Frost would be winning a natty by year 4.  Wonder if that was accurate.

But it is like I said, if you like what the person says, you think the person is smart.  If you don't like what they say, you think the person is a moron.

Jesus f#&%ing Christ.

I guess we deserve to be stupid.

It does matter where the case came from cause you insinuated RfK was the problem for the outbreak.   Incorrectly I might add

You want to have threesomes with your brother!?!?!

Trump was well on his way to a large EC win in 2020 until Covid hit.  Democrats didn’t win because they “woo’d voters” over with some magical policy.   With no Covid, Biden would have been trounced and the Senate would have been Republican.

I largely agree, but I do think Trump fumbled 2020 with missteps. His advisors thought Trump was bound to lose by the same forces that ended up costing Democrats in 2024. Thermostatic public opinion was unmoveable and against Trump, so they devised a plan to say the election was rigged in order to undermine Democracy and stay in power.

So because Trump himself and true MAGA believers are kind of stupid dips#!ts, they told their idiotic voters that voting by mail was a bad idea - as a prerequisite for their plan to tell their legion of drooling supporters that the election was stolen. Instead he barely lost by ~24k votes across a few states and likely wins if he encouraged his voters to vote by mail.
