I don't think millenials know more, I think that thinking one way is the right way and that I know and other people are wrong is a bad mindset to have. Why don't we look at what works the best and try to optimize our own system? Why do we constantly divide and blame the other generation for our problems instead of coming together and trying to solve our problems with the best ideas from all parties? 

 
Spending all of your time pointing out the faults and critiques of the 'other' is one of the lowest levels of consciousness you can live in. Y'all remember when Jesus talked about the speck and the plank?

 
What is history to some people was current events to others back in the day. Of course older generations know more about what happened 60-80 years ago than the younger generations. But let's just blame it on the Millennials, everything is our fault anyway.

This administration doesn't support religious freedom. They support ramming evangelical Christian values down everyone's throats because they're an indispensable part of the GOP base. They haven't lifted a single finger to do anything remotely elevating any religion outside of Christianity. Unless you consider giving Israel whatever they want promoting Judaism, but Netanyahu's being indicted which means they're not going to have an ultra-right wing buddy over there anymore.

Now I'll just sit back and wait for your rousing defense of trickle-down economics and how our country will go to hell in a handbasket if we raise the top marginal income tax rate back to the levels that worked beautifully for every president since the Great Depression up until Reagan so we can fix some damn roads or have decent schools.

  • So did you read the USA Today article you posted?  It's quite positive on the benefits that are provided for the Danish people because of high taxation, resulting in their "happiest" ranking.  I'm unclear why you thought this article backed up any of your assertions.  What did I miss?
  • We do not have a "much lower antidepressant use than danes".  Per my source posted above they are 1 in 8 and we are 1 in 9.  
  • I think you missed the point I was making on homogenous population and antidepressant use, and I do agree that it's different than a huge multicultural country
  • I don't know if what they do would be successful here, there are certainly other countries besides Denmark that have universal healthcare and high taxation that benefits their people, and they all rank in the top 10 for "happiest, best" places to live
  • I have zero problem with the top 1% paying more in tax.  ZERO.  If the top 1% can aid in the betterment in the poorer 99% I think that's a win.  
  • I'm not touching Venezuela.  I'm sure others will jump all over you on this and I'll just watch from afar.

I said it was from a very pro socialist site

i did it to show how high taxation is

45 percent on 43 k in income

plus a 25 percent sales tax

that isn’t a model where only the rich get soaked for high taxes unless anyone thinks 43 k is a lot in annual income

Remind me again which state the overwhelming majority of text books come from...

Was it the liberals who didn't make actual Native American history (genocides, boarding schools,  and all) a part of public education? Why did I only truely learn about that in college?

Is it liberals who are insisting that we teach creationism in schools when it's nothing more than a fairy tale?

Is it liberals who want to defend public education????????
