The Boxing Thread

It was a good fight.

I would've called it a draw.

Politics gets the best of the fight again. They wan't to set up the potential fight in May. No way Pacquiao loses last night without getting knocked out.

How about another legendary brawl? This one features fan favorite Arturo Gatti taking on an interesting figure in boxing. Gabriel Ruelas was a tough Mexican boxer who showed a lot of promise, and rose to the status of a serious contender relatively rapidly. He claimed the WBC Super Featherweight Title in 1994, but in defending his belt, he won a 11th round TKO over the Colombian boxer Jimmy Garcia, who died as a result from the beating he took in the ring. Ruelas took the death hard, and contemplated retirement. He came back into the ring though, and in this war with Gatti, both men show almost unimaginable grit and determination.
