You are expecting an attempted extermination of a race of people  It never ends well for people when they compare things to Nazi Germany.I thought I was exaggerating to make a point, but sadly it's not enough exaggeration.
Point being, one of our two political parties — the one you vote for and rationalize — just drew an official line in the dirt. From there, the GOP has zero moral high ground. They are trying to appease the demagogue who inspires their base.
This is really 1932 Germany kinda s#!t, and I really wish that was an exaggeration.
I fully agree there was more to Zucker’s resignation than we know about. I still think he should have been fired for what he did to CNN as a business. MSNBC already existed. A middle ground news station would have been nice to have around.Re: Maher's comment on Zucker - we only know he resigned due to what he explained was a consensual relationship, but what we don't know is what else was found in his emails and the investigation that was being done for the Cuomo case(s).
Yes, they were required to report their relationship to HR, but I think it's very likely that there were far worse things that he was involved with that were found during the investigation. He resigned for what they uncovered, he acknowledged the relationship as the cause publicly, but my guess is whatever they found would have brought CNN down. Allowing him to leave under the guise of an undisclosed relationship was a gift to him and to the network.
I mean this is the network that allowed Jeffrey Toobin to come back ... just think how bad something had to be for someone at Zucker's level to be fired?
The guy is right. This is a very bad look for a politician and they continue to do it in an election year.
It really is. I mean, it was bad theater a year ago...now it is bad porn acting. Even our most "masked" posters have said, over and over, that they "forget" their masks at times and still go out. But they claim to be so passionate about it...I am passionate about Husker football, I never "forget" when they are playing. You've got athletes sweating all over each other on the court/field, and then putting a mask on when they're on the bench. Heck, Lebron's son and teammates wear masks under their chins the entire time they're playing. We've seen all the maskless politician photos.... It's grandstanding. Nothing more.
Well stated by the both of youIt really is. I mean, it was bad theater a year ago...now it is bad porn acting. Even our most "masked" posters have said, over and over, that they "forget" their masks at times and still go out. But they claim to be so passionate about it...I am passionate about Husker football, I never "forget" when they are playing.
Someone on her staff figured out this was a bad look and they took it down. Parents are sick of kids wearing masks, especially young ones. Even CNN reported on it.You've got athletes sweating all over each other on the court/field, and then putting a mask on when they're on the bench. Heck, Lebron's son and teammates wear masks under their chins the entire time they're playing. We've seen all the maskless politician photos.... It's grandstanding. Nothing more.
Seems plausible
Not really. :facepalm:Now folks want to cry about SuperPACS???
For f#&%'s sake!
So just complaining about SuperPACS they disagree with then, I guess. Not really.
