The Democrat Utopia

Should they have been equated to Hitler?
I don't know, I'd have to think about it.

But, it's interesting when you ask this as an argument that Trump (who has admired Hitler as told to you by many people very close to him) somehow shouldn't be compared to Hitler.  Gee....if someone admires someone, I think it's appropriate to compare them to him.

All you're doing is just a bunch of gaslighting.  Both of us must not have liked certain Republican administrations when looking back at them.  I chose to leave the party because I couldn't support them anymore.  You chose to stay in the party and double and triple down on crazy.

To each their own....

Maybe we need to rename thread and "Anti-Trump utopia".

This election is no longer Dem vs Rep, it is a coalition of anti-MAGA vs. people okay with Trump's version of America.  True conservatives realize the damage being done in their name and know that much of it will be irreparable.  It is worth it to them to "side" with dems and hopefully begin to oust this ugliness from their party.  Good for them!

You really would have to think about if Mitt Romney and John McCain and George Bush should be compared to Hitler?

How about Ronald Reagan?   Or how about your favorite Liz Cheney?  I’m surprised Kamala would campaign with an alleged Hitler type!

But yeah, your side can keep going with the whole…..everyone but the people I like are Hitler thing.   Good luck with that

Probably the only one in that group that really deserves the harsh criticism is Bush.  Amazingly, he was still better than the piece of s#!t Trump.

Reagan - no.

I've never been a fan of Romney and liz.  But, they at least have the guts to speak out against the bat s#!t crazy that the Republican party has become and actually expose Trump for what he is.  Of course....that's why they need to be kicked out of the party.

Meanwhile, this is who your guy is supported by and who he is willing to have in his new administration.

Great job Republicans!!! :clap  This isn't some fringe wacko.  This is someone who Trump listens to and is seriously thinking about having with him in the WH.  Trump has specifically said IN PUBLIC that he is willing to use the military against people who don't support him.  Flynn has specifically said that he will be there to carry it out.  So....save yourself the struggle of arguing how I supported people in the past that were compared to Hitler.  You're still doing it.

Pardon me if I'm perfectly fine not being associated with the bat s#!t crazy party and out on my own.  You can have it.

Well, I’m not talking about harsh criticism or or who you are fans of or not.    Do those people deserve to compared to Hitler whose policies killed 6 million Jews?   Because that’s what your side has been telling us.   That’s what your side is currently telling us now.   So while you don’t like them, do YOU believe they are comparable to Hitler?

You can hate whoever you want, and disagree with whoever you want.  But it’s complete nonsense to be comparing people one side doesn’t  like to Hitler every time an election rolls around.  Complete idiocy.

whether he actually praised hitler or not doesn't matter.   he praises the autocrats who are most like hitler.  BFF putin, his loverboy in North korea (whatever his name is), orban..etc...etc...  the glove still fits

We seem to have a lot of them.  Doesn’t seem to matter who you are if you don’t have a D attached to your political name.   At some point you will be a Hitler once election time rolls around.

Yes, some members of the Left have trolled every Republican with Hitler and Nazi accusations for as long as I can remember. Most of us brushed off the hyperbole, the same way cogent Republicans knew Democrats weren't really Stalinists and Communists, despite the bleating of their own extremist wing.

But some of you guys insist on skipping what's different about Donald Trump. It's his own people issuing the warnings. Multiple Republicans and Trump appointees who are actually in the room with the man, relaying his fascist leanings and unironic Hitler/Dictator admiration. It was his own f#&%ing running mate who called him "America's Hitler" which at the time we assumed he considered a bad thing. Extremists are thrilled at the prospect of Trump, and the down-ticket candidates running as MAGA loyalists are saying the most disturbing s#!t American politicians have uttered in our lifetimes. Even you don't deny that.

People have spent 80 years wondering how the good and civilized people of Germany allowed the Nazis to happen, and they turn up a lot of folks like you who insisted the trouble-makers were a loud but amateur fringe that would invariably succumb to the centrist establishment. The difference between the situations are notable, but the similarities shouldn't be ignored.

Donald Trump keeps telling you exactly who he is, and you keep insisting he's really not that at all.

Because that’s what your side has been telling us.
Not my side back then.  Ask them.  Just because they probably cried wolf before, doesn't mean it's not appropriate now with someone who actually openly admires Hitler.

Republicans have been ranting that every Democratic President is going to turn America into a communist regime and destroy everything that's good in America.  We are still a Representative Democracy.  So....

Like I told Buster, go ahead and keep calling each candidate Hitler and see how that works out.   Instead of continually talking about how Kamala will help or work towards helping folks (her highest polling when her campaign did this) she/the traditional media and you all went back to and doubled down on Hitler/destroyer of Democracy etc instead and it ain’t working out for ya.  When she loses because of it, don’t come crying to me.   I tried telling you.

Reagan and Hitler were both men in charge of countries.

Have I gone too far in comparing Reagan to Hitler?
Yep

Exactly.  Is this where I’m supposed to say “well, gee golly Wally, but I really really really believe they tried so I guess I’m right in saying they are communist”.   :laughpound
