The Democrat Utopia

As somebody that's more "classically liberal" I really don't care much for their socialist SJW direction. Between that and Trump I've never been more disenfranchised when it comes to the two major parties.

It is curious you'd link socialist and SJW tendencies. Those are the economic and social complaints about the party, respectively. It seems they learned about SJWism from 2016 and are focusing on economics now going into 2018 and 2020.

Do you dislike one aspect of their platform more, or are you more broadly dissatisfied with the party as a whole?

I'm hoping there are just as many disenfranchised "classic conservatives" as there are of us.  And maybe, just maybe, we could produce a ticket that makes some sense.

My POV:

Kasich vs. Sanders:  my vote would go to Kasich

Trump vs. The Field: my vote goes to the field mice.....

I just can not understand why either party refuses to come back to us "middle of the road" people.  It is time for some kind of a "reset".

If given the choice between Trump or socialist, I'm going Trump. I voted for Trump last election. Why? Because I'm tired of the political correctness. I'm tired of the baby culture we are getting, where anyone can be offended by anything and be apologized to. That is why most major corporation refuse to say "Christmas" now, because god forbid we offend the 10% of the country that doesn't celebrate Christmas. What people do not realize is that we do not need to completely get rid of American culture for people who are not American that are here.

If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go find a commercial to be offended at because it shows a white family instead of a racially diverse family.

Trump is a criminal who is attacking the institutions this country was built on. He is by far the worst president of all time and its not a contest. Stop normalizing Trumps behavior because you are "tired" of political correctness. You are basically saying you don't care about anyone's feelings but yourself and those like you. A sad attitude to have. Regardless, no matter why you support this disaster of a presidency, it's important this view that Trump is doing a good job and doing what America wants must be shot down. Donald Trump is a criminal who does not represent America. He refuses to condemn a child molester because "we can't let a dem win." He is a sexual predator himself. His shameless power grabs and shots at anyone who doesn't support him is very authoritarian. If you approve of the direction this country is headed in, you do not support the principles this country was founded on.

Soo.....because you are tired of political correctness, you support a sexual predator who supports a child molester.

Hmmm...OK.

Let me ask you this.  Are you offended or disturbed when Nazis and white supremacists march in American cities?

Not once in my post did I defend Trump. Not a single time. I did not vote for him in the primaries. I hated him. In the election, he was the lesser of two evils, which is a huge thing to say. Criminal allegations aside, who would have run this country better?

Hillary no doubt. Hillary isn't a great candidate but she would at least act like a president should act. She wouldn't be attacking the first amendment and giving cabinet positions to all of her crony friends who would use these positions to pay themselves and their families massive sums from the government for work they are not capable of doing. I promise she would have done better in Puerto Rico, which doesn't get talked about enough. Trump has thrown Puerto Ricans and to the wayside, that place is in shambles. There are so many areas she would so better it's astounding. I'm not a huge Hillary fan but Trump has been that bad

Yes. I am very disturbed. I am also disturbed when antifa does the exact same stuff the white supremacists do only with the opposite viewpoints.

So, do you find it disturbing that the proclaimed leader of the alt right (that is made up of these groups) is/was the top advisor to the President of the US and for a long time refused to condemn these groups?

First, what is the "opposite viewpoint" of white supremacy, equality? Second, has antifa killed someone these year?

I'm not sure I remember in history class reading about close to 300,000 Americans dying fighting against antifa or that antifa killed over 6,000,000 of a  certain religion or group they didn't like.

Nice to see that the media has gotten to you. Real nice.

Antifa is a Fascist group who does not recognize free speech. They are literally willing to kill people who are seen as racist. I do not agree with racism, no level-headed person would. But Antifa takes it to a whole different level.

The media is more willing to cover white supremacists committing violent acts than Antifa because they are left-leaning. What the white supremacists have done is not excusable. What antifa has done is also inexcusable. But let's only cover the convenient side!
I agree that violence on either side is not excusable.

So....here's my solution.  As a population, let's not support the violence being supported by our country's leadership.  Let's at least start on that side while condemning both.  That is the part we have the most control over.
