The Democrat Utopia

Okay, so however you feel about tariffs, the immediate benefit would be billions of dollars paid to the American government -- not the private sector.

Has anyone asked exactly WHERE in the government coffers this money would be going, not to mention how it would alleviate the burden the American consumer and retailer will shoulder under this strategy?

I actually blame the media for this. It's a huge and obvious question they should be asking. I guess the Flood the Zone strategy makes it harder.

If we are to believe the President of the United States himself --- and I can't believe I'm typing this -- the strategy is to hardball Canada with tariffs until it agrees to become America's 51st state, bringing its entire economy with it.

You can read the detailed, well laid out and researched tweets to get an accurate description of the background going into the confirmation hearings.    Most of it’s not really about the three in question.    Happy Learning!

You post did not include links to Matt Tabbi's background. But if I were to assume the confirmation hearings primarily focused on false accusations of Russian influence, I would be wrong. They focused mostly on inflammatory rhetoric and unfounded accusations made freely by the three candidates on a variety of subjects, and as far as Gabbard goes, the Kremlin considers her an ally based mostly on everything she says and does.

They were directly quoted with things they said.

Oh my gosh, did Matt Tabbi just expose Democrats for obsessing over their inability to link Russian involvement to direct Russian collusion?

If I view the confirmation hearings with that lens, I'm still seeing Kennedy, Patel, and Gabbard being asked incredibly legitimate questions about extreme and concerning views they've already expressed in public. In other words, a bed they made for themselves, requiring zero Dem disinformation.

Gabbard is a pretty odd story herself, and it would be interesting if Tabbi turned his investigative energies on her journey.

All the appointees should be subject to answer for their backgrounds and Tulsi should/needs to have her Syria Russia past comments answered for before confirmation.   These stories like the one you linked, also happened when she was DNC Vice Chair and in Congress as a Dem.   We didn’t hear a lot of noise about it till she ran for President though 🤷‍♂️

Do we think she will be selling our secrets to Russia and subsequently arrested the first time a Dem gets the Presidency next?

Using Elon's useful idiot Taibbi to claim anything is... well, not at all convincing. But I suppose distraction is the best tactic to pretend the GOP isn't a clown show.
I’ll put you down as someone who chose to not read anything 👍

It's not like Democrats gave Tulsi a pass when she was a Democrat. She was certainly a very intriguing potential candidate when she started getting national press in 2017, although those early articles raised questions about her allegiance to a charismatic and cultish guru, her less conventional foreign policy viewpoints and her courting both Donald Trump and Bashar al-Assad. By then Gabbard had already sided with Bernie Sanders and against Hillary Clinton. The Democrats honestly weren't sure what to do with her, but Gabbard made it easy for them by taking stances that did (and do) align almost perfectly with Vladimir Putin.

fwiw....we don't hear a lot of noise about anybody until they run for President. You could also ask Republicans why they were so excited to promote the candidacy of Democrat Tulsi Gabbard, including substantial fundraising from non-Democrat sources.

I actually would be quite interested in reading what exactly about the Russia broke Matt Taibbi's brain. He was at once point, as far as I know, a serious, respected journalist.

But something about the era of Trump caused a lot of people like him to become increasingly siloed in conspiracy land wherein conservatives are wrongly persecuted supporting a neutral-to-benevolent Russia whereas it's the deep state and woke leftists who are the real bad guys.

It's curious that so much focus on the woke mind virus caused a bunch of rational, intelligent people fighting against it to completely lose their grip on reality.
