It's a bit weird to flex on the reporter, than have Rubio make the better analogy on the dangers of a rising authoritarian regime.  

I'd have to see the full context, but if free speech is weaponized, it's not really free any more. It might be akin to Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg declaring a "free speech" initiative to allow partisan campaigns of unfettered and unvetted mis/disinformation on America's largest social media platforms.

He's managed to grift his way to become Vice Chair of the Democratic Party, a sort of powerless position, but one that is more symbolic of the faux-activist rot that plagues Democrats.

He's taken more than $200k from his PAC this far to pay himself.  The other issues is that his politics exemplify why Democrats are shedding minority voters and make them lose elections. 

He's the exact opposite kind of person Democrats need in influential positions to win elections.
