The Fighting Erstads vs Creighton

Interesting. Runner called safe at second, but a stumble at the plate is interpreted as player interference at home plate, called for the last out of the inning.

Interesting call with the batter interference. I say this because in the top of the inning a Creighton runner stole second and DE argued that the hitter interferred with Cody as he threw to second by stepping in front of him regaining his balance after his back swing. Same exact thing just happened with Kash. Gues DE got the home plate umps attention. Interesting to say the least

Keller get another Blue Jay looking for out 1. 5th K on the night for Keller, he is looking VERY sharp.

Grounder to third on the next pitch, 2 down.

Flyout to Sangi to end the 5th.

Keller has allowed only a single hit and has thrown 57 pitches. The best he has looked all year from the home games I have seen this year and what I have heard on the radio

Aye, PC. On the replay, looked like simply a stumble to me, but could also see how it could be interpreted as intentional.
Like I said earlier Kash was just trying not to fall on his face and his momentum carried him across the plate. Same exact thing that the Creighton kid did. Wonder if DE doesn't argue that earlier in the inning if it doesn't get called there. Chad was out by a mile if the 2nd baseman doesn't drop the throw on the play

Darby pops out to 2nd.

Scheffert grounds to short. 2 gone quickly.
