For those that don't know about Hunter Biden aside from Trump/Giuliani mudslinging:

  • Georgetown University (BA)
  • Yale University (JD)
  • By 1998, he was executive vice president of a bank holding co.
  • 1998-2001, he served in the United States Department of Commerce, focusing on ecommerce policy.
  • 2001, he became a lobbyist co-founding the firm of Oldaker, Biden & Belair
  • 2006, he was appointed to Amtrak's Board of Directors by then-President George W. Bush. Hunter Biden had to testify regarding his nomination before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation which included John McCain.

Aid was inexplicably held...

People around Trump pushed for investigations into Trump's political opponent...

The actual State Dept had no idea what was going on....

Several career employees were concerned after hearing the actual call...

Once concerns were made public, the aid was inexplicably released...

The POTUS Chief of Staff tells the press that "Yes, personal politics was involved.  Get over it!"...

No people who were involved in the inner circle want to or will be allowed to testify...

People confirmed this under oath, including a person with first hand knowledge of the "inner circle"...

Great quote  and they also attack the messenger.  Amabassador Taylor is a highly respected individual.  The WH of course, states he is a part of a smear campaign.

I don't know, who should I trust  - the lying orange face in the WH who lies every day or the Ambassador who is highly respected by both parties, West Point grad, Vietnam Vet leader, long tenured public servant.   I just don't know.  :sarcasm

https://www.yahoo.com/news/model-diplomat-now-center-scandal-120541162.html

A West Point graduate who served for six years as an Army infantry officer, including with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam, Taylor is among the country’s most experienced diplomats, and has served in every administration of both parties since 1985.

Former officials of both parties described Taylor in glowing terms and suggested that his credibility would be difficult for Trump’s allies to question.

“Ambassador Bill Taylor is a person of integrity with a strong, ethical base,” said R. Nicholas Burns, a former undersecretary of state in the Bush administration. “I would also describe him as a true patriot. His entire professional life has been in service to the U.S.”

Stephen Sestanovich, who served as the State Department’s ambassador-at-large for the former Soviet Union under President Bill Clinton and who has traveled in Ukraine with Taylor, echoed that praise.

“You couldn’t ask for a more credible, universally respected, upright public servant to testify on the facts of this case,” he said, adding, “You want to go against Bill Taylor, you’ve got the whole city against you.”

The administration disputed that view on Tuesday. The White House press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, insisted in a statement that Trump “has done nothing wrong,” and lashed out at “a coordinated smear campaign from far-left lawmakers and radical unelected bureaucrats waging war on the Constitution.”

But few, if any, people who have worked with him see a radical in Taylor, who is soft-spoken and conservative in demeanor. Instead they describe someone motivated by American ideals since he served in the military and then entered government, first as an Energy Department employee and then a staff member for Sen. Bill Bradley, D-N.J.

but whoooo is the whistleblower?!?!

What exactly is this stunt? There are Republicans in that room. If these guys want to know what's going on... why not just ask them?

Look at the diversity in this group, too. Three women, and the rest are white males over 50.

Don't attack me for this as it is just my opinion... I really didn't see a good case for impeachment presented.

I won't attack you as you're allowed to believe whatever you want, but if you didn't see it's because you're not looking.

Trump withheld taxpayer money aid to a country until they announced an investigation into a political rival, influencing the upcoming election in his favor. This happened. There's no contesting that this happened. If you can't see that that's impeachable, that's on you.

Admit it. This would be the worst possible thing for the Trump presidency.

Clinton testified prior to his impeachment. Trump's handlers have prevented such a move because they know their client would destroy himself in all of about 30 seconds giving testimony.

This is the single biggest weapon in the Dems' holster. If they wield it correctly it would be incredibly powerful.

Here's the thing: Trump is a would-be mobster. He grew up around them via his father's business ties in New York. Most of what he does and how he behaves can be explained by this.

In this case, he repeatedly tried to shake a foreign country down to investigate a political opponent to help his own re-election without actually explicitly asking. This is what mobsters do to retain plausible deniability. Can't outright ask what you want for even though everyone with a functioning brain knows what you mean.

If you wanted more proof of why what Trump is actually doing is wrong:

Ukraine Stopped Helping Mueller Probe After Trump Administration Gave It Weapons to Fight Russia

^^^ This is from May 2018. Trump was again leveraging foreign aid to a country that desperately needed it to help protect himself from investigation. Nothing to do with the Bidens then. But it establishes a pattern of corrupt behavior using the power of his office to further Trump's own personal interests.

I'm surprised this wasn't brought up in the hearings honestly.
