Like him or not, Tressel is the type of coach that Nebraska needs, and would be an excellent hire: a big-name coach and recruiter with a proven track record of winning and success (including a national championship), who kids WANT to play for. He'd have us in a BCS bowl within 3 years, if not sooner.

As for his age, get real. Do you think KSU regrets bringing back Bill Snyder? Of course not.

Fear of the unknown is not a legit reason to keep a coach, nor is it a legit reason to not hire a certain coach. At least with Tressel you know what you're getting. I think he'd look pretty dapper in a Huskers sweater vest.

 
Something tells me that for the right price, and knowing all that the resources the Nebraska football program has at its disposal, that he'd jump at the chance to lead a traditional power back to its former glory.

 
My biggest problem nowadays is that Bo says the same thing every spring/summer -- how good the team looks, how well they're progressing, etc. He is an expert pacifier and knows exactly what the fans want to hear, and that's exactly what he tells them. Unfortunately, once the season starts it's the same sloppy undisciplined play, penalties, turnovers, and bad losses. I used to believe Bo but after 3 or 4 summers of hearing the same exact things, I've learned not to believe a word he says. This season he did the exact same thing and then the McNeese game happened and my suspicions were confirmed yet again. I liked Bo and was happy when he was hired, but he's lost my trust and everything he says now I take with a grain of salt. We need someone with substance and he's about as transparent as they come.
