The Husker Games - April 26th (Spring Game Replacement)

This was a huge fail.

There was NO ONE there.  The local economy is going to be pissed.  Matty dropped the ball on this and I can only hope he gets grilled for it.
I was thinking the same thing.  I tried to watch the "highlights" in the post above yours, got a few minutes in and decided it wasn't even worth that.  Hopefully the players had fun, their opinions matter more than mine.

Yeah, it was a rough watch.

I totally get adding the "extra" stuff, there is nothing wrong with doing that.  But us fans just want to see some football.

It was a poor visual on what has traditionally been a huge recruiting weekend.  Between this and the poor attendance of the NIL open practice, donor fatigue is something this program needs to be mindful of moving forward, or they are going to jeopardize 1 of their biggest selling point.
This is so true.

As we know, winning cures all, but the winning needs to be "bigger", this 6 wins and a bowl game stuff will not keep donors happy and nor should it.

Trying to get fans/donors to watch kids rope stuff and eat chicken wings was a huge mistake.

PSU

Michigan

OSU

They all had spring games or will have a spring game.

All Matty had to do was wait and his his spring game after the portal closes, like PSU is doing.

The best thing to do is what PSU did and wait until the portal closes, however there is a big difference in the ability those three schools have in getting top 10 recruiting classes vs. NU. No school wants to get poached but some can handle/recover from it better than others

There is absolutely nothing about that day pertaining to football that I now really wish I could have seen.

I did not even know this but I guess the portal had closed on Friday.

I think it's bigger than "donor fatigue".  If the middle of the road fan becomes disengaged, we lose our advantage.
