The "I Found A Spammer" Thread

I outright banned the accounts for the first three, and did a wildcard ban of the IP, which resolves to India. The fourth appears to be legit - IP resolves to PA, and in his profile he claims to be a Steelers fan.

I think our newest member, @TimLittlefield, is a spammer. His profile contains a couple of links to hunting-related sites and he joined at 4-something in the AM.

THIS PAGE says this is a known spam account, originating in India, posting from this IP: 112.196.1.60

We would classify @Tecmo Bowl as a spammer, right? He's made one post, and his signature reads (used to read - I deleted it):

Pretty sure this is another spammer. The user name is female, but the email address is for a male - or even if you think it's the female form of "jesse," it's not the same name as the user name. The email address is listed at StopForumSpam.com as a known spammer.

They joined last night, one post, containing a link to a rug store. Nothing in their signature or About Me page, though.

Here's the post:

We have TV just in the middle of the hall. TV stand is kept on the shaggy rugs covering the complete floor. Rest around we have the sofa sets in one corner and some more classic pieces of furniture.

Thanks! I banned the account but left the IP unaffected for now.
