The "I Found A Spammer" Thread

Should I be concerned that our newest member - "methodical" - listed his email address as "spam-huskerboard@xtinction.org"? So far so good and the IP didn't show anything but I thought that was odd.

Here's one: @anuj0990

Had this in his profile: 99th.co.in is the leading search directory for India. Here one can find the verified companies in any industry like transport, logistics, packers & movers service, Business Services or Home Services etc.

And this website: http://www.99th.co.in

Removed the above and flagged him as a spammer.

I'm guessing he's one of our past members coming back for a brief visit. The email is a throwaway for this account.
There was a member a few years back called "redblooded" that had a VERY similar email address, hbdpamfolder@xtinction.org. IP is different, but resolves to the same ISP. I'm guessing it's the same guy. Couldn't find any issues with his former account; he and Lance had a discussion about an ESPN poll on coaches.

I gave him a warning four years after that conversation for calling someone an idiot, but I didn't link to the post in the warning, and he wasn't banned or suspended for it.

Could be someone who forgot their login and just created a new account. That probably happens rather frequently.

Yeah, that's my thought - he forgot his login info for "redblooded" and just created a new account. The email for both accounts are....provocative, and we should certainly keep an eye on him.
