Going deeper into hock is never a good way to get out of debt. And at some point, this exercise in kicking the can has to stop. When it does, you get your next financial crisis.
 
Isn't that purely ideological stuff? Certainly there could be evidence to say that the economy is improving?
Without middle class job creation, there will not be a significant or a sustained improvement.
Middle class job creation? That's not going to happen since we shipped all of our manufacturing jobs overseas. The only growth industry we have is the expanding mass of gov't workers. And I don't think there's any room for yet more people to hang on Uncle Sam's nutsack.

That is why the economy will fluctuate between bad and really sucky for the next ten years,.. until something major happens to bring about revolutionary change.
