So when I post something and the same poster the day before responds with are you f'ing kidding me, Clark? And then the very next day responds to another of my posts and says I always have a negative mindset. Thats not trolling? Okay mods

First of all, to me the "Are you kidding me Clark" is usually meant as more of a joke than anything. If it's more than that, use the report function and explain it to us. That's not easy to spot, especially if it's a carry-over from other posts/thread/days.

Second, there are hundreds of posts here every day. I try to read a lot of them but it's not realistic to expect us to always connect one thing to another when there's a lot going on. Again, that's what the report function is for. Let us know what's going on so we don't miss it.

i'm a little confused on the purpose of the "offending posts" thread. i've seen 2 or 3 recently that there is very little way the post is offending, especially the last one by matty. how exactly is saying you dont get a hashtag in a tweet offending?

They put them there so people know what's been deleted. It wasn't Matty's post that was comsidered offensive, it was the reply. (Although I don't understand why the reply is offensive).

that makes sense. but when i asked it was matty's post that was there and not the reply. but i could be getting the threads crossed too.

i had also noticed they often pulled entire conversations that went with the offending post. this instance just didnt have that so it appeared odd to me. thank you for the explanation.

Are you talking about the post by BlitzFirst in reply to Matty? We had a policy that there wouldn't be jokes/etc. directed toward the Penn State scandal because that wasn't something that needed to be made light of. Basically the same thing with Baylor.

In other situations, I'm inclined to move the actual offending post and often replies that quote it so that the offending post no longer shows up and because it usually doesn't lead to fruitful conversation anyway.
