Frost is too stubborn.  He has always believed Martinez is the next Marcus Mariota which is why he is blind to all the AM criticism.  Putting in a new QB would force him to acknowledge he was wrong about starting AM for 4 seasons straight.

 
Did we just kick the ball to the wrong side of the field again? The whole defense was on the right, and he caught that ball on the left hash.

 
Our program is dead. God bless the Nebraska fan base for continuing to show up in 90k numbers to give support to their state school.

No way that lasts in 5-10 years from now. The losing culture is going to produce an era of Nebraska fans who don’t remember anything remotely close to wining championships.

 
Coming off a bye week and our team/coaches continue to s#!t the bed.

I thought Frost hit his "mad button" this week. He better find some fire this 4th quarter, or his seat gets warmer.

 
At this point, I don't even want Smothers to play because I expect him to be better than AM.

I just want to see with my own eyes what we have to work with at backup and whether he can ever develop into anything. 

It's clear this is a lost season and AM ain't it.  But benching him would be Scott admitting he failed and so it'll be one more quarter of this same crap.
