I acknowledge that I only used a portion of Dewiz' post, and that's somewhat cheating. I further acknowledge that I used to tease people about doing that earlier in the life of this thread. But I lost that battle and now I just go along with what some people do.

Bingo. That is why, Dewiz, this is the Out of Context Quotes Thread.

It's like HB is a microcosm of US. There are facts, then everyone can have their opinions about the facts.

 
People can do what they want but by definition an out of context quote still has to be a quote. But it doesn't have to be a full sentence. For example:

"I like making whoopie cushions so kids can make fart noises with them."

An example of an OOCQ is:

"I like making whoopie..."

An example of cheating is:

"I like making kids fart."

The best and least cheaty way is to use a full sentence from a paragraph, but it's not cheating to use a partial sentence as long as you're not taking words out of it.
