Exactly. It's the same with every generation. This current one has just had a better platform to express their stupidity. I can guarantee you that it would have been the same had teens in any other generation had that technology at their disposal.

Nah. Even looking at a small sample of 30-40 years, teenagers deal with massively higher amounts of anxiety and depression, are more sexually active and at younger ages, twice as likely to have suffered through a divorce (which has an impact on kids), are half as likely to work jobs, are twice as likely to have behavioral problems (as rated by their parents), more obese, more often pregnant, etc.

That's just a few examples over a few decades. Some of those things are behavioral symptoms of the same causes, but some of them, a lot of them, make for very different types of character and personality and intelligence and struggles in kids.

They're only the same so far as they are human beings that live in society.

 
Not to mention all the prescription pills kids are on these days, to go with drinking and other drugs. At my high school we were drinking in the middle of classes, kids were smoking weed in the parking lot, and more. That was 8 years ago now, I can only imagine what sh#t they are into now.

Agree or not, you're both wrong and you pretending not to understand that is not doing you justice. I know you're not stupid man. Winning helps people overlook things. Maybe not even care. Tell me there aren't behaviors people overlook with Nick Saban simply because he wins. Hell....forget behaviors....I bet there's a hell of a lot more that is overlooked because Saban wins.

But, he didn't say that whether or not they win DOESN'T matter, he said it shouldn't.

Of course it's fact. Nobody is disputing that. We're saying it should not be fact per our opinions. How is that wrong?

Maybe wrong is the wrong word. Maybe I should have said not realistic. Boy, if I ever find that perfect world you are speaking of where we are all judged equally and fairly, I will surely let you know where to find me. Unless.........you've already found it?

 
I don't think it's something to be discovered but rather something to be developed and fought for. That's why I believe in an ideal that doesn't exist :) because it could!
