Interestingly, because this peaked my interest, I asked AI what brought the world out of the dark ages?

So, we are in the process of destroying trade networks along with attempting to suppress classical learning, farmers are hurting and losing their trade partners and power is being shifted into a few people's hands.

Yes these are Yugely dark times. We've gone from  "A city on a hill"  Reagan to the back side of the moon.
