The return of EA Sports College Football

Well, after playing through about 5 games on all-american difficulty, i am really bad at this game. Averaging like 4 interceptions per outing lol - gonna take some getting used to but the challenge is fun and the gameplay feels nice and sometimes looks absolutely stunning.

Also week 3 it has us playing a team called Northwest Sharks rather than Northern Iowa.  My question is, what?

All of the FCS schools are generic

All American is hard. Have you adjusted your passing type and passing sliders?

Playing on Varsity to get a feel for the game Controls.

Nebraska Dynasty as Matt Rhule.  (Don't like how you can't choose to have your coach wearing a headset).

Game 1 UTEP:  Ran away with the game, 69-10. Had 3rd string players in the game by the 3rd Quarter.

Game 2 Colorado:  Fought for every yard. Surprised Colorado once with a short pass that turned into a long run then gassed at the 3 yard line.  Punch it in for 6 and missed the extra point.  At one point I'm ahead 28-14, then Colorado gets off a huge run, meanwhile the announcers are the most excited they have been all game, and its 28-21.  I get a field goal and Colorado responds with another TD.  31-28.  I can't do anything and punt the ball.  Late in the game the Blackshirts intercept on Colorado in the EndZone and run it out to the 30.  I get an amazing scene with the Blackshirts rushing up to the screen and throwing the bones at me.

The game was a pure adrenaline rush, and fun to boot.  2-0 at this point, and I'm hoping to keep doing well the rest of the season.

I absolutely dominated the first 4 games on Varsity, then all of a sudden Purdue and Rutgers QBs could do whatever they want against the Blackshirts.    :dunno

I never realized Purdue's band played such badass songs.

You can change kicking settings to tap and tap or tap/hold.

Doesn't seem to carry over to dynasty games.  I have it set to tap and tap in the user settings, then I still have to change it during every game.

Either way kicking is significantly more difficult than any other football game I've played since the early 90s.  Which is a good thing.  Never really liked it being virtually automatic.

You can change it in the dynasty settings in the menu. In game changes do not carry over. Hope that helps!

I haven't - do you have any recommendations?
4-2-5 or 3-3-5 playing cover 4 match packages. Adjust your DL/LB alignment to try and tease in box numbers. Spread them out if you’re having issues guarding TEs or against slants. Light pink LB coverages will cover the flat & follow the TE up the seam.

i have:

Zone flat 25

Curl flats 5

tackling/ball strip to conservative

option:

conservative

aggressive.

in that order on the (RS) Adjustment screen in the in game play menu button.

I'm in year one in my Husker Dynasty, went in undefeated and ranked 7th to play #5 Ohio State at the Shoe. Dominated them, winning 28-10, and I managed to drop in the rankings to 8th. Um, what's up with that?

The sim logic in dynasty is beyond broken currently. People all over are reporting constant results where FCS teams are upsetting blue bloods, .500 teams are making the playoffs and being ranked in the top 10, etc.

Yep.

I am really struggling to win out battles with recruits as Baylor. Schools keep coming in last second and guys won’t commit and I’m left high and dry. The not being able to schedule visits glitch f#&%s you.

Yeah, I'm confused on the visits.

Apparently you can only schedule so many guys on one weekend?  Which makes sense but I'm not sure if it really tells you that or not.

And I've had one guy in the "Ready to Visit" for several weeks who I can't schedule a visit with.
