Buckle up ladies and gents.  It's going to be a wild ride.  A lot of names with varying schemes and resumes. Some I can see, others not so much.

Good lord, Fitz would be a lame hire.

He is basically the floor of hires.  Like literally the basics of what any coach, other than Frost, would/could do.  He is Bo without getting super mad only Bo is probably a tiny bit better of a coach.

They need a guy that not only does the basics, but is a badass recruiter.  Because NU is set up to not only get good recruiting classes but also do well in the portal.

Look at Fred with basketball.  Sell sell sell, recruit recruit recruit.

Nah. You try recruiting Northwestern.

Different strokes for different folks but I would put him in the top tier I made say no before settling for someone else.

I just think he overachieves based upon what he has.

I think I’m at the point where I believe nearly anyone is an upgrade.
Which, is an issue if we really want to get back to winning championships.

If we are going to make a change, we can’t go just with a comfortable choice because, he’s an upgrade from where we are.

Hello Everyone,

You may recall my posting during the coaching search that resulted in the hiring of Scott Frost and all of the inside information that you were priviledge to get along the way. First, this coaching search is going to be different. Secondly, the administration already was leaning towards firing Scott Frost when they were alerted of the NCAA invistigation. Third, Scott Frost is gone. He already knows that and so does the administration.

Now, to the search will be wild with false rumors, candidates that are not actual candidates, and people claiming names that are going to get hired that are not even interviewed.

It's not Bill O'Brien.

As of this moment, the names that are being researched, backgrounds being done on, have receipriated back interest are: Jeff Monken, Lance Leipold, Dave Dawson, Dave Doeren, Dan Lanning, Jeff Grimes, Dave Aranda, Matt Campbell, Kalen DeBoeor, Dan Lanning, Pat Fitzgerald, and PJ Fleck.

If I had to handicap the three leading candidates, they would be Dave Aranda, Jatt Campbell, and Kalen DeBoeor.

God bless everything. Better days are on the way.

I'd be happy if we get one of those 3. However, the only one of those that I feel we have a legit shot at is DeBoer.

Urban Meyer is not doing well in Jacksonville. May be he can be persuaded to come and dominate the weak West division. He can recruit and he can coach.

Meyer could go to any school he wants. He's not coming to Nebraska. Kiffin isn't coming here, either. Lincoln isn't nearly as enticing or prestigious as it once was.

Honestly Urban would be perfect, come in and shift everything almost instantly.  He can recruit and coach and knows how to find good assistants.  He runs the show for five years  "retires" again and hands it over to a young assistant that can run the show for the next decade or two.
