He works there, in a capacity where he definitely cannot pull out his phone and try to grab a picture or I would have asked him to.

Its really not that hard. The Night Before has a cover. You pay the cover and you get to go in.
 
If I were in Lincoln and even vaguely resembled Tressel (I am neither of these things), I would definitely put on a white collared shirt, red tie, gray sweater vest, and glasses, and walk around O Street and/or the Haymarket with a map in hand.
