The Tangent/Derailment Thread: 2015

I think frustration is going to inevitable after the start this staff has produced. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
jesus f'ing christ.
I don't know what he has to do with anything.

I hope the staff can figure something out, whether that be culture, scheme, personnel, etc.
Well, considering Jesus' mom bailed out BYU on a pass play, Jesus does have some level of involvement here.

Collins is a REALLY good player. But if there are good players who aren't 100% in the game mindset or can't own up to a massive blunder like that, that is how a team plays below its talent level.

I think we can be fairly critical of even our best, and favorite Husker players when it's due (Collins is definitely one of my favorites). No need to get so worked up about it. He messed up. Wasn't the only one.
him and valentine are studs, but they seem to be lacking in the effort department. which is extremely concerning.
Do you have any empirical evidence to support this or are you just throwing sh*t against the wall hoping no one calls you out again?

i think they can perform better than they have. i do not know how to prove that with empirical evidence. it is my assumption. unfortunately for you, intelligence can be empirically quantified.

I wouldn't get too worked up over Collin's effort or lack of, you'll only have to deal with it for 4 more games. You might want to save some of that angst for when he declares early for the draft because I can't see him sticking around for another year under the tutelage of the clown squad we have for coaches.

that's a nice sentiment.

I do not understand why some posters here refuse to acknowledge that this coaching staff is waaaayyyyyy over their heads and have no idea how to right this ship. A good coach would be able to fix the main issues that have plagued us for years now. We are one of the most penalized teams in FBS AND FCS. The penalties have killed drives and cost us points and games. Riley knew that coming in yet nothing has been done about it. For those who think that a coach needs time to fix issues in a team, I say look at MICHIGAN and what they were able to do this season. Harbaugh inherited a team that had no identity and was able to get them believing in themselves. Our players have no swagger and a lot of them have issues off the field. That is a clear sign that the players have absolutely no respect for Mike Riley and his staff. This would never happen under Tom Osborne. The players respected him and played their hearts out. Our current players are good politicians. They know what to say to give us hope yet they make the same old stupid mistakes game after game. They are not developing and these coaches are not a good fit. Riley is a nice guy and I have nothing against him but he is not the right coach to bring Husker football back. He is here to supplement his retirement and is doing just that thanks to the incompetence of the two snakes Eichorst and Pearlman.

I think that's just about every cliché trending right now.
Oh. You forgot to mention he only hires his buddies, and it will be his downfall.
