come on man, i cheered for this school and attended classes before you were even born.......my only point is so many people want to live in the past when we were relevant and winners....so how silly do we look when we have to go back 20 or 30 years to make a case for greatness?....the more we allude to our once found greatness the more often the media reminds us of how we are not relevant any longer......i understand, when we are struggling, we dream of the past....and it is but a dream.

You're being absurd. This is more about message boards than the 1994 season.

Whatever point you're trying to make here is completely overshadowed by this misconception.

I thought this thread was a really cool idea and had potential to be something fun during the week, but now it's turned into another Hunter whine-fest

If you were cheering for this school and attending classes before I was born, then you should know all too well how much fun the interweb and a message board like this would have been from let's say 1972-1992. We've had plenty to hang our hat on in the last 20 years. In 2009, we may very well have seen one of if not the most dominant forces on a Nebraska DL in our lifetime. We're witnessing Ameer Abdullah put up numbers comparable to some of the best backs to ever play at NU. It's not as if we're the only team trying to get back to where we were nearly 20 years ago.
