I just might be too jaded, cynical, depressed with the recent/current state of Husker football but I'm struggling with appreciating many wins that, when all is said and done, only kept us from maybe being 8-5. I mean I do still enjoy the games and winning and all but , in hindsight, many of them seem like a consolation prize or kissing your sister. I know this probably makes me an entitled d!(k but it sure seems like some of these 9 & 10 win seasons would be a heckuva lot more special if they culminated with some crowning achievement and not just a win loss record that is too good to really b!^@h about but also fairly empty and meaningless considering a good seven of the wins are basically gimmes. Idk, maybe I'm just a douche.
You're not a douche. You are dead on correct. People here want to mock the #relevance or "how far has Nebraska fallen?" but this thread is pretty great claim link evidence.
we are comparing and wondering which win was better between two teams that ultimately had losing records. so there's that.

edit: just so i do not seem too negative, i would say pelini's best win was 2010 missouri. that team just beat the top ranked ou, we played a great game, helu made history, i was there, and it pretty much sealed up the north. 2011 msu was another good win. just a great all around performance against a very good team for that one.

Those two obviously, plus the first two bowl wins.

It certainly could have been one hell of a stepping stone

Sometimes you have to step back before taking another step forward.

Uh, no.

I'm going to nip this rom-com "Bo Pelini is on a journey" before it starts.

It was all laid out for him. He only has himself to thank/blame for all his achievements/accomplishments.

Of the coaches since Devaney, Pelini probably had the least laid out for him based on being the only coach to have losing seasons precede his tenure.

Excuse me?

We've been through this before, but my god man, there are current nfl all pro members that were on that 07 team.

An excellent way to exaggerate it being all laid out for Pelini with something from a losing season and the worst 4 year span recent Husker history. My God, carry on man......

Yes. Because of Bo. They sure the hell wouldntve after another 2-3 years under Callahan. I know we've been over this before. So Bo recruiting wasnt ghat great at first. So he beeds talent to succeed. Wow. Theres a news flash.

I don't want him as a coach here, but he wouldn't have continual NFL jobs if he couldn't coach and develop talent.
