I'm definitely not thinking that something needs done to him per se. But it was time for someone to tell him, "I see what you're doing, enough!" I just want to see how he responds.

Agree that it was good to call him on it. He needs to know that won't fly.

Agree. Again, if he derails, nail him. If he starts to drift that way, call him on it. He'll either get the message and that's that, or he'll resent it and cross the line. And that's that. I hope for the former, but wouldn't be surprised at the latter.
