But at least we can understand what our coaches saw in him.Goes to show you need more than raw speed to be a great receiver. You also need to be able to catch the ball constantly, especially in clutch situations.

Nash turned out to be a great college DT, but I am still dying on the hill that he could have been an All American at guard. Still think that is a missed opportunity.Neyor, Fidone, Robinson, and Hill got invites. No Hutmacher which is rough for him - I think he definitely earned one. They sometimes add guys late, but it's a deep DL class so I wouldn't hold my breath. I understand this is all about how your game does or doesn't translate to the NFL, but man there are a lot of guys who were significantly worse players than Hutmacher who still got invites - including at least one and arguably 2-3 from his own school.
The arizona WR has a some hype. In the right offense I think Tez Johnson will have a very solid career. ( I hope the Bears get him as their version of Jameson WilliamsI think that this is a product of several issues. The main ones are:
This is the first draft of the NIL heavy era- the early enrollees aren't coming out because a lot of them are making more money from NIL. That is affecting numbers (but you would think would get Hutmacher to the table). However see below
This draft is hugely deep in defensive tackles- I don't know that I have seen such a thing- Robinson, who I think suffers a bit from tweener syndrome, is now likely a day three pick and that is no slight to his ability but to the numbers of guys in this draft
The WR draft class, OTOH, is possibly the weakest in a long time. I can't name you a big time prospect off the top of my head other than Luther Burden III. Neyor got lucky in this regard.
GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed. While HCSF made a great decision to move Cam Jurgens from TE to center and how that played out great for CAM, the move of Nash to DL vs OL - while good for college seems to be a miss for the pros. I had hoped that Nash would become the next SUH at NU but he didn't have the mobility, speed, and agility as SUH (he may have been as strong). He could not bull rush like SUH and perhaps the system hurt him as well. Kind of hard to build up NFL inspiring sats if your job is mainly to plug up the middle. As a guard, I think he would have been able to build a NFL profile that would have made him a fairly high (round 1 or 2) draft prospect. He had the size and strength to be a good to great OL. And we surely could have used one. I hope he can find a spot somewhere - he has worked as hard as anyone. Maybe some team will see his potential as a guard and make him a development player - probably doubtful. He was one of my favorite players while he was at NU and he was from my home state of SD so he had to be a great guy.Nash turned out to be a great college DT, but I am still dying on the hill that he could have been an All American at guard. I would draft Restrepo from Miami. I think he's talented. I'm anxious to see where Ricky White III of UNLV goes. Dude blocked like 4 or 5 kicks on ST this season along with being a talented wideout. The arizona WR has a some hype. In the right offense I think Tez Johnson will have a very solid career. But, can he catch a ball?Neyor seems to be having a solid combine performance
