Thread of Hate

Long story short the dude was being a douche, and telling me there are plenty of games on ESPN and stuff, and i don't mean btn sucks, i just had to black out the fake name i used from an old friend i hate.

Wow, you got into a fight with a TV company and YOU managed to come off as the douchey one. That takes talent.

I guess it's just that having been on the other side of such conversations it just rubbed me the wrong way. It's why I hate the general public.
That's where I come from. If you work any kind of retail or customer service you learn some pretty important life lessons; people are dumb as f#*k, there are way to many a$$hole$ in this world, and somebody always has to do the dirty work so pick up after yourself and if your kids sh#ts/pukes on the floor for godsake clean it up yourself!!!
I work in a customer service job and I deal with bad customers everyday including belittling and profanity, and sure it sucks, especially when I have no control over the situation, and I probably shouldn't have attacked this dude so fast but a few sentences before he was saying that espn has plenty of games and I'll be fine without the Btn, then once he said I'm sorry you feel that way I blew up. Its pissed off customers that make change happen, I see it everyday. And I'm not really switching, dish is the cable at my apartment so if they dont come up with an agreement I'll have to go to my parents games to watch Btn

B007 I find that if you're pleasant or at the very least firm yet respectful towards a good customer service rep, things will often go your way. IDK if you would have gotten BTN (If they don't offer it, they don't offer it and no amount of crying and nagging on your part will change that) but maybe you could have gotten a discount or something. If you're trying to get something done, the internet chat route is basically worthless too, or so I've found. Pick up the phone and talk to someone.

I hate classes, especially when they are in a 4-5 hour block with no breaks going through lunch. I have breakfast at 9 and don't eat anything until 2 besides bars to snack on.

Absolutely despise my boss. First write up of my entire life happened today. I wanted to jump across the desk and hit her with a metal chair.

Write up was total BS too. What's more frustrating, is that I'd LOVE to quit, but the job market is so bad I can't put my family at risk to go months without income.

Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage.

What did you get written up for? And they are no different from a slap on the wrist except now you only have 49 left until they fire you

That very much depends on the employer. Many employers have a three-strike policy. Verbal Warning, Written Warning, Final Warning and termination. Some replace Final Warning with termination. Depends on how dickish the employer wants to be - or how egregious the issue.

Stu, if you have a decent HR you may want to talk to someone there if it was BS. If you feel like you can present a good case in your defense, you can approach them with your side and request to have the write-up reduced to a verbal or something. Be sure of your case before you go, though.

I work in a Nursing Home. To keep this very short, I'm a big advocate for the residents. Resident complained about administration, so I documented it all and sent it up the chain.

Apparently, I ruffled to many feathers and the building wants me gone.

All they care about is robbing medicare dry and getting rich, they couldn't care less about problems with the people in the wheelchairs living there.

Please do your research before ever sending your family to a nursing home. Don't let them end up in a place like where I work.

I hate agonizing football games.

I hate when refs make or fail to make questionable calls that change the outcome of games.

Stu I would just like to thank you for what you do. I've had two grandparent who were involved in nursing home type facilities or attending activities there and it's the people that really care and do the right thing that make all the difference for patients and their families. Even if a patient has dementia or doesn't seem connected with their world they still deserve to be treated dignity and respect. And I have all the respect in the world for someone who tries to give them that on a daily basis, it can't be an easy job. So thank you!

I hate how anticlimactic that game ended with Vandy giving it there all through out the game. Sorry Bucky but I was rooting for the Commodores.

No worries. I understand, I'm rooting for them this season as well, its hard not to and when my team isn't involved I almost always root for upsets.

On the call itself I think the whole thing was too bad. I hate seeing that happen even if it breaks well for my team because it tarnishes the win and people never stop talking about it.

I can't believe you're a Husker fan. You're the type of fan that gives use other mature Husker fans a bad rep.
