Thread of Hate

I hate the cost of higher education. Now I have to pay back 32,000 in student loans... plus the interest that will accumulate while I'm paying them off.
Not trying to rub salt into the ole wound but it's the one benefit I've taken full advantage while still in the military. I've finished 2 Associate degrees and nearing completion of my Bachelors and I'll have paid less than $2,000. I'm trying to get my oldest son to start taking full advantage of that.

That's great, but military is just not for me. That would be really nice though.

If you are able to, pay more than the minimum payment and it will get paid off a lot faster. $32,000 is not that bad compared to some people. My sister has to pay back over 150,000. That sucks....for her :P
She must have went through med school I'm guessing?

Yeah, dental school. And shes not really making as much as she thought she would at the place she works, so its gonna be even harder for her to pay them back

I hate that so many go to college and there isn't enough jobs for them when they get out.
That's why you get a degree in an agricultural field of study. It's the one industry that has been unaffected by the economic slump over the last 7-10 years.
Ha! I did that and now I realize I don't have interest in it and I can't get a job in another scientific field because I don't have the experience. Fortunately my parents can afford to and would help me out if I go back to school. Just makes me feel guilty though, they've done a lot for me already.

It does suck that schools cost so much. It seems like the cost of education inflates faster than just about any other segment. At some point it's just not going to be worth it---losing four years of work time and paying $120k or more to attend school. That's a pretty big price to get a degree.

The East Coast, in particular the NYC metro area.

Even though I've not said word one about this whole school shooting thing, I hear constant shots taken at those of us from the mid-west About how we'll revolt if they pass any new gun laws, and all this just makes me want to get the hell away from these "highly educated, affluent" a$$hole$, that much faster...

Note to self:

Soon we will add one more name to the revolt club. walksalone, you in?
