I kind of find Obama a little annoying...but I don't think he is a nagger.

I hate the nurse that ordered a full body x-ray on a patient at their facility last night. I am a radiologic technician for a company that goes around to long term health care facilities and nursing homes for patients that don't need hospital treatment as of yet. I told this stupid POS that he ordered 20+ pictures, including all three parts of the spine in which I will be rolling them and placing a hard board behind their back which will cause them more discomfort and that it will take me at least an hour to get it completed (I had other x-rays I had to do also and it was already 8:30 pm). I told him itd be easier to send her in for a CT scan which literally takes less than 5 minutes and the pictures will be more diagnostic. He said he didn't want to send her in.

This lady was crying during the exam of the femur, tib/fib and three parts of the spine. She was fine during the humerus, elbow, forearm and wrist (yeah, that's a lot of goddamn body parts) and it took 2 hours to get everything I needed. For future reference dickwad, if a patient needs x-rays of their entire body from shoulder to toe, they should probably be sent to the goddamn hospital in the first place. To the patient, Im sorry you have such a terrible nurse.

Edit: forgot to mention she was an isolation patient which meant I had to wear a gown, gloves and mask. I felt like I just got out of the shower when I was done.

Where on gods green earth can a nurse order xrays?? Was it a CNP?

The doctor usually sends a phone order giving the okay but not specifics. So the orders will say okay to x-ray left arm, left leg and spine for example. The nurses at the facility look at our protocol and choose what views they need and order them through our dispatch. Doctors visit the facilities, but they usually don't have a doctor on site at all times, so the nursing staff make the decision to send them to hospital or not.
