I really f$$king hate Canada right now....
Yep. Every topic devolves in the off-season, but this off-season has been especially bad IMO. The amount of negativity and how quickly it surfaces in every thread is mind-numbing.I honestly hate the football forum right now. This is probably the worst off season EVA! And it's only just begun.
I know. I thought about arguing in those Pelini Q&A threads, but I just don't have the energy to rehash the same arguments. I'm hopeful that nupolo8 and some of the others will become more positive (or at least moderate their negativity) as the season approaches.Negativity is in right now. If you're not down on the program, don't expect to post without getting buried in derp.
Most of the negative posters are just making sure everyone knows who they are for sure. Why you ask? B/c they think that Bo and company will eventually fail soon and get run out of town. Then all the negative nancys can say, "Hey, look at me, I was right. I am so smart and I told all of you." I honestly don't know what will happen but I'm rooting FOR Nebraska. I don't care who the coach is, I want the team to do well, win, get back to being a perennial top 10-15 team, win Conference championships and be in the talk for the playoffs most years. The coaching situation will always take care of itself, just root for the team. The negativity helps nobody, and if you are truly a Nebraska fan you should know this. It's okay to question things and what coaches may or may not be doing, but the constant hammering is ridiculous. Far as I'm considered, those people can go root for another team.I know. Can you run for President? This is possibly the most reasonable thing I've ever read in my life. Most of the negative posters are just making sure everyone knows who they are for sure. Why you ask? Are you sure? Because you seemed to have been flirting with the darkside during the season.I'm just sittin around quietly. Praying for that big win. That coveted championship of whatever the hell. So I can arise from the ashes and play the awesome "I told you so" card and rub in the face of these negative sons a bitches.![]()
iphone? It's still the same as it's always been on my android phone. I switched to accuweather a after weather channel went to pot with all their ads an hipster format.f'ing Accuweather changed their mobile app from a nice, organized quick at a glance and informative app to a hipster, flat-ui, pastel piece of f'ing garbage that you have to spend 5 minutes scrolling and swiping through monochrome-land to find all of the info that used to be right on the front f'ing page when you opened it. Can't believe I'm this rustled over a f'ing weather app, but this f'ing minimalist, flat-ui fad ruins everything I swear. f#*k you, Accuweather.
I agree. +1 It should be a update if you want to app. I hardly ever update my apps for that reason.f'ing Accuweather changed their mobile app from a nice, organized quick at a glance and informative app to a hipster, flat-ui, pastel piece of f'ing garbage that you have to spend 5 minutes scrolling and swiping through monochrome-land to find all of the info that used to be right on the front f'ing page when you opened it. You call it flirting. I call it depressed. In all seriousness, I was down as f#*k after than Iowa game. I though Bo was gone and Husker football was over. i was trying to find hope in all possible candidates. Not becuase it's what I hoped would happen, but that it is what I thought was gonna happen. i was wrong, and I was happy. Now, I did cross the fence a couple times after losses last season simply because I saw those losses as being because of a stack of things that were in OUR control. And it was frustrating. In fact, after I believe the Minnesota game, Crewe actually called me out for it. And I thank him. His comment reeled me in a bit. Now, there were also some frustrating things going on in my personal life along with a new baby in the house, so a ho-hum football season wasnt exactly icing on a cake. Coulda done without that. But I'm fine now. I just dont wanna drink any koolaid till it's been properly chilled. Are you sure? The baby or the season? Now, there were also some frustrating things going on in my personal life along with a new baby in the house, so a ho-hum football season wasnt exactly icing on a cake. I didn't see that, unless it was pm it was probably one of the days I decided to stay away. In all honesty I thought about calling you out as well, but seeing as how you could crush me with your paper stats I decided not to. When one of the more optimistic and resilient posters starts down the doom and gloom path it's rather alarming. But I can't fault you for it when you're not given any hope. I know I was pretty pysched for last season and after UCLA all my expectations were tempered a bit, then after Minny and Northwestern I just quit expecting anything and took things as they came. Sad really, but I still have hope after how well our defense improved last year and how many weapons we have back on offense.Crewe actually called me out for it. And I thank him. His comment reeled me in a bit.
