THIS. Especially when Sportscenter breaks off and talks about what Lebron James tweets about Tebow, or Jeremy Lin or soemthing stupid like that. I do not give a sh#t what some athlete tweeted about.

Twitter is mostly useful for finding out what's going on. It's really easy to update, so it's often the first thing that gets updated when news breaks.

I started Twitter by following a bunch of UNL athletes. As time wears on, I realize I really don't need to see anything these folks post. Most of it is banter to each other, and frankly I don't care. I'm going to sh#t-can all my athlete "follows" and stick with coaches, reporters and some of the more funny feeds, like Fake Bo Pelini, Fake Tom Osborne, and some non-Husker stuff.

I'm not needle shy. I just feel like flu shots are dumb. I realize it's human nature, but I hate how much of an extent we go to in order to save the weak. We're the only species that does it.
Yes, why even have health care at all...
Obviously I'm not going THAT far, but there's a certain point where we need to let Mother Nature do her thing. We need to allow natural selection to run its course. I realize it sounds cruel, but every species has weak members, yet we're the only ones that do everything we can to prevent natural selection from happening. Just my opinion.

Would you say the same if a family member or friend was diagnosed with cancer? Or when you get old and your whole body starts to atrophy and becomes weak?

I'm not talking about cancer, dude. I'm talking about a flu shot. My grandmother died of cancer a year ago last week. I know what it feels like to lose someone you love to cancer.

People have to get flu shots for their jobs. I was required to get a flu shot for my clinical rotation. Most people that choose to get flu shots are younger children and older people because their immune systems are either not developed yet (young people) or are dwindling (old people). Most people yours or my age, barring an immunodeficiency, do not get flu shots unless required and just take their chances.

That is extremely interesting. The ONE TIME that I got a flu shot, I got sick. I swore never again - and I haven't had the flu since. Didn't have it before, either, now that I think about it.
