Thunderin' Bolts vs Northwestern

Sears goes another1-2-3 with 7 pitches in the 6th. After the shaky start, he is back in form. Now the offense needs to capitalize

Huskers had really good top of 7. Walk, hit and run, sac fly, single…. Score 2 and take a 4-2 lead headed to bottom of 7.

Sears retires the side and goes a complete 7. Allowing 6 hits, 2 runs. Not as dominant as we are used to seeing, but definitely a quality start by any standard. Huskers lead 4-2 headed to 8th. Worthley throwing in pen and likely will enter

Huskers go scoreless in top of 8. NW defense is solid as they make a few more great plays. Bolt runs Sears back out in the 8th

Sears struggling in 8th. Boarderline call on walk, hit batter on 0-2 count… runners on first and second with 0 outs. Think Bolt stayed with Sears one inning too long. Fastball losing velocity.
Borist onto pitch.

Borst walks only batter faced to load them up! Bases loaded 0 outs. Don’t like the fact Bolt didn’t make the pitching change at the beginning of inning

Huskers tack on an insurance run. 5-2.

Perry hits first batter then a seeing eye single begins to make things interesting
