Toilet hose help!

Here's the end I can't screw in.

Threads look fine. Make sure that middle tube is lining up. You can wiggle the fitting a little as you screw it to try to seat the inner tubing. Maybe rock it around the hole a little as you screw it in.

Is this the end that goes to your wall?

Hook this end up first, you may have to push fairly hard to get it. I can't tell if that is a swivel end or not, but truthfully Moiraine, I have the steel braded flex hoses on all my sinks and toilets. I remodeled the whole house and these braded hoses are your best bet to prevent line burst or leaks!!!
