I went through the free forums.. didn’t see any mention. Sure hope it’s baseless. We just need to make him an offer he can’t refuse.

He's getting all the attention he needs as DC here.  Going to USC would just be a money move.  He wants to be a HC.  Is going to USC really going to make that much of a difference?  Just pay him more and he will stay if he doesn't take a HC job somewhere.

More money, easier recruiting,  but winning might put  more of a shine on his name.

If you had the number one defense in the country and your offense was a turd sandwich and you still lost games do you not have the same shine as the number 5 defense with a complimentary offense? Also getting guys at Nebraska who weren't as highly ranked as the guys at USC to play better defense gives him plenty of shine.

Hate to break it to ya man, he didn’t have the number 1 defense here last year. And also hate to break it you, if money is in the same realm he’d be foolish not to go to usc. 
 

as far as attention goes- it’s easy for you to say he’s getting all he needs here. Let’s be real- usc provides a platform that is easily tenfold the exposure he currently gets here at lincoln

Someone should rename this thread to USC lol... yah it would f'n suck- silver lining, in the long run this is a good sign you have quality coaches in your progrum.  I can't recall many big names coming after frosty/riley/bo while they were here.  I guess tuioti going to oregon probably the biggest one?

FYI a premium screenshot was leaked just now from on3. One of their writers saying essentially White was contacted but they at this time will likely be going another direction from what they heard this morning. 

Last night 11/29 both 247 and on3 on the USC sites had writers stating they were likely set to hire Tony White. Feels like recruiting.

Man why would a DC want to go on that staff? There is clearly something going on with how Riley runs that team that is not conducive to having a good defense. They have had good coordinators and elite players and just have never put a good defense together. Grinch was getting legit HC buzz and has a lot of stink on him now he will have to work to build his name back up.
