So Tre had 31 carries (4 shy of a record) on Saturday. Was held out of practices this fall due to wear on his knee issues. Missed today's practice due to swelling on his knee. What were the coaches thinking giving him that many carries? He totted the rock exceptionally! I'm worried about his durability on a questionable knee. I'm no Dr. But if that knee keeps him from practices something has to be up.

Damn FieldTurf surface.  That is why I pushed natural grass instead of crappy artificial turf.

 
Not a turf issue... Tre durability issue... I'm sure Christian Bros. In St Louis has field turf. How can he handle 30 plus carries a game on a questionable knee? When we have a depth chart full of "or"s?

Denver is a much warmer climate that Lincoln, Nebraska, and the others you mention have high-tech coil heaters underneath the grass to keep it alive during Nov-Jan.

The fields in Pittsburgh and Philly look like crap in the 2nd half of the season and they constantly have to replace the grass between the hash marks.

 
Bryant's injury seems like a chronic knee issue, not an injury caused by a specific plays. Also, NU practices on grass fields quite often in Lincoln, so I don't see how this is a Field Turf issue.

How about Lambeau Field ?  Warmer climate than Lincoln ?

Nope, just wondering if you have ever been on it?  It is very soft.  I think it is a non factor, it isn't the artificial turf.  I have played on the artificial turf.  It sucked.  Field turf can be even softer than grass, depending on the type of grass and soil.
