Triaging the QB room

Purdy definitely resembles Ganz who was actually a turnover machine especially in his first three games when he threw 7 picks.  Nine in the first four games.  I can see Purdy turning into a pretty serviceable QB over the next few years.  You can see he had the wits about him to just throw it away a few times.  Those two fumbles and the final pick though.  Hopefully those go away with more reps.

So in the first three quarters, they got three pressures from four-man rushes.  Plus one pressure on a blitz. Chubby bailed early five times.  So he was bailing early more than they got pressure.

In the fourth, they seemed to think they needed to blitz to get pressure because they did it way more than the first three quarters.  Got pressure four times.  Only one-pressure from a four-man rush.

So only four pressures (plus kind of one on a designed rollout).  Seems pretty good for 30+ drop-backs.
It appeared our line was constantly moving back.  And yes, he was bailing a few times.  Without seeing the WRs, it's hard to tell if he even had anyone to throw to.

Purdy would never step up into the pocket. Especially in the first half. If I'm a tackle I can't be expected to block an angle 10 to 15 yards deep. If I'm an end I'm drooling over the qb with happy feet and a predictable pattern.

There could be an extra sort of jump that Purdy makes in the offseason if he believes he has a decent chance of being QB1 next year.

Everybody and their brother has guesses on which QB we pull out of the portal and there's just no way to know what happens with that right at the moment.
