Trump 2.0 - DOJ and related

In a functioning democracy the first four words of this tweet would have been enough for impeachment.  I wonder if the "Weaponization of the Federal Government" committee will reconvene and investigate this.  I'm sure Gym and Comer Pyle will get right on it.


 
DOJ apparently being instructed to pull a jailbreak as she was convicted of felonies at the state level, not federal.

Attorney General Pam Bondi sold at least $1 million worth of shares in the company that owns Truth Social on the same day that President Trump announced his sweeping tariff measures, a government ethics transaction report shows.

Bondi's stake in the company, Trump Media, was worth somewhere between $1 million and $5.5 million at the time of the sale, which occurred on April 2, the day Mr. Trump dubbed "Liberation Day" in which he announced his wide-ranging tariffs on goods imported from all foreign countries, according to the document obtained Wednesday by CBS News.

The day after the sale, the stock's value dropped more than ten percent before recovering. Trump Media's stock sold for $52 at its highest but closed at $26 per share on Wednesday. 

In a December financial disclosure, Bondi said that she held stock in Trump Media that was worth over $3.9 million at the time, shares that she received as compensation for consulting services for the company. 

The Justice Department did not immediately respond to questions about the sale and its timing, which was first reported by ProPublica.

Bad financial decision by her.   Stock is about 30% higher now than when she sold.

TBF, that article does not address if/when she bought back in when Trump tipped them off about backing off on some of his tariffs. You couldn’t write a better description for market manipulation and insider trading. Corruption like has never been seen before.

It certainly is corruption if she traded on non public news.   Her trade would have sucked but corrupt non the less if reports are true.  
 

But this corruption has been seen before.   You should read about the bulls#!t that happened in 2007/2008.   That dwarfs anything I’ve ever been alive for and I don’t think anyone went to jail for high was insane

It wouldn’t have sucked if she sold when she did and then bought it back when Trump said it was a good time to buy. Better than just holding it until now.

And yes, please do tell about the time worse when a President manipulated the markets and he and his cronies enriched themselves.
