I would prefer to see someone else besides RFK in that role just as much as anyone else probably, and with that said, Rafael knows what he is doing with that wordplay.  It’s obvious RFKjr didn’t compare the CDC workers to Catholic Church sex abusers.   It’s obvious RFKjr was trying to convey that he thinks there was some cover up about the vaccine affects on kids because the CDC institution is too important in the same way the believes the Catholic Church covered up sex crimes because the Catholic Church as a whole was too important to let that get out.   
 

Rafael could make his disdain for RFKjr in much better ways.

RFK could have easily explained that today.

All he would have had to say is...."Yes I did....and here's why...."

I have to agree with this.

I saw an extended version of this line of questioning and RFKjr further explained he was comparing these things to the number of kids harmed, not the institutions themselves. Possibly BS but it sort of made sense.

And I think RFK is maybe the absolute worst possible pick for this position. The guy is a looney tunes whack job that will endanger people’s health like we’ve never seen before in this country. Holding out hope somebody grows a pair and shuts him down.

He is the worst possible pick for this position.  BTW:  Has anyone brought up his abuse towards his wife who committed suicide in 2012 ?

 
Here’s the thing. MAGA doesn’t care. All they care about is if the nominee is loyal to Trump and Trump picked him or her. That’s all that matters. 
 

Meanwhile, Trump is claiming the crash is because of unqualified people. So….he's nominating some of the most unqualified people to very important positions. 
 

MAGA will vote for every single one of these and it won’t matter at all what actually us discussed in these hearings. 

 
It's been fascinating to watch and I'm sure historians and social scientists will be parsing it for years, but the moment Donald Trump stood next to Vladimir Putin and said he trusted Putin over all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies, Republicans and Conservatives had to find new Russia-friendly language and political positions that allowed them to support their Party Leader while taking a sharp turn from decades of opposing rhetoric.
