Got to give it to you. You love your theatrics. How many of those guys planned out elsewhere? Valentine in the NFL? That’s about it. 

He’s a novel idea, maybe Tyjon wasn’t willing to change his attitude or mindset. You continue to bring up one data point to support his work ethic, but it was that same work ethic that got him demoted to the freshman locker room, was it not?

Obviously, there was some butting Of heads and personalities and I’m going to ride/side with the coach who’s nearly in tears after we lose rather than a kid who prefers to skip class. It goes back to the little things, like Frost mentioned.

Wasn’t there a WR from UCF who was drafted in 2018? The whole “pro style” offense excuse is garbage. There are plenty of NFL receivers who were in spread systems in college.  Also, if you have seen the NFL so far this year, the offenses are shifting more and more to college-type, spread offenses.  Riley’s offense was a dinosaur.

Here’s the thing though. You can say “well he clearly wasn’t what frost wanted” but that’s a way easier sell when you aren’t about to be 0-5.

Like if you’re 3-2 and Lindsay wants to bounce, hey!  Go nuts. 

This isnt the situstion. We need depth. We need talent. He’s talented. And he bought in to the point of being hospitalized. What’s changed?

Maybe he didn't "buy in" as much as you think he did? Under Willams and Walters (both very good coaches), he didn't do much of anything. Contrast that to a guy like JD who has flourished under those guys. I wish Tyjon well, but he simply didn't pan out. I'll take a "lower ranked" guy like JD who is tough as nails and productive.

Honest question: what has Tyjon Lindsey done on a football field, in a Nebraska uniform, to warrant this much consternation over his transfer?

No. He bulked up so much this summer he put himself in the hospital. He looks like an entirely different person now than he did last season. 

Sometimes, the fit just isn't right. 

This is a kid who chose Lincoln over all those places we envy. He could have gone anywhere and picked the Huskers. 

Wish him the best.  

 
This is what happens when highly touted recruits aren't required to put in any work then all of a sudden are held accountable for their production.  This is yet another Riley blunder.

He wanted to leave a few months ago anyways.  This has a lot to do with buy in.

This is incorrect.  His hospitalization was during winter workouts.

Buy-in - maybe even buy-in once the season started - is a huge factor, given the fact he was demoted to the freshman locker room.

The timeline of his hospitalization doesn't really matter.  He didn't have to go to the hospital because he wasn't buying in.

No need to bash the kid.
